Lola Bistro
Lola gets our pick as the #1 place to bring a a date because
of their excellent food, comprehensive but reasonable wine
list, and great atmosphere that's just casual enough for our
tastes. Lola can get kind of quiet when there isn't a band
playing, a good thing if you are good at keeping a conversation
going, a bad thing if you have nothing to talk about but what's
going on around you (a sure sign maybe you shouldn't be worried
about another date anyway). |

Shamrock Jack's
Shamrock Jack's has a little "secret" about it that
makes it such a great place for a date. You can reserve, for
the two of you, a back room that is big enough for around
6 people and have a nice quiet place to eat with a very comfortable
atmosphere. Having this small room to yourself is sure to
make your date feel like they are getting some "special
treatment", and will no doubt get you off to a good start.
The food at Shamrock Jack's is excellent, and there is even
a small patio out front with a couple chairs you can relax
on after your meal and have a drink. |

Pearl
Pearl is an upscale bar/restaurant in the East End area that,
if your wallet can take the hit, is sure to impress your date.
From the minute you walk into Pearl you get the feeling you
aren't at your average East End bar. It may not be our choice
for one of the top bars to go have a few drinks with the guys,
but it is certainly a very nice place to bring a date. The
food is excellent, the drinks are first rate, and the atmosphere
simply can't be beat. The only reason Pearl didn't top our
list is because we don't feel that your average bar-goer would
feel comfortable in the ultra-chic atmosphere that fills Pearl.
But if you want to surprise your date with some place special
that really knocks her off her feet (or him for that matter),
we highly recommend Pearl. |
