Brickyard Pub is without a doubt one of the more popular nightlife hotspots in Rochester. If you show up on a Thursday night for some of the best Ladies Night specials around, expect to wait in line for a bit before you get in. The Brickyard Pub does what a lot of bars in more popular nightlife cities do: they only let the place get half-full, but force people to wait outside so that it appears they are packed and people can't wait to get in. Consider this a blessing, and not a curse. Once you do get in, you aren't shoulder to shoulder with some sweaty guy trying to force his way to the bar. There is ample room on the patio (The Brickyard Pub claims it to be the largest in the city) where smoking is both allowed and encouraged, and you can often find pizza from Mark's on Monroe.
